Mr.Taylor has done a little bit of everything, from construction to teaching to COO of a private school. Bob started working at age 16 in shipping and receiving and then he moved to school maintenance supervisor before working in pipeline reconstruction. Bob taught elementary school and middle school for 7 years before moving into a management role as Director of Operations at the same school/parish for 3 years. He stepped up into a Chief Operating Officer role at a small private school for five years before starting in sales at R2 almost 5 years ago (1/3/2016 was his first day). Bob states “Through it all, you cannot quantify what it’s like to see the child who finally gets a concept that they just couldn’t understand, especially when you’ve tried everything to teach them. There’s something so special about seeing the “lightbulb go on in their head” . Despite some high-level management positions, I prefer being the “man behind the curtain” – making sure that all of the I’s are dotted and T’s crossed.”
Bob grew up mostly in south Florida but spent some time working in NJ when he was in his early 20s. He attended the University of Miami and FAU. Mr. Taylor has been married for almost 11 years to his wife Anna and has two boys, Will and Ryan. Bob has been the vice president and director of operations for the Alma Foundation for almost 12 years and had the privilege of working with Nick and Terry Saban at the University of Alabama, Jimbo Fisher when he was at Florida State University, and former tennis professional Chris Evert on all of their charitable causes. As a team, they were able to give away multi-millions of dollars to fight childhood diseases, bolster family and children’s causes, and support local teachers in both Alabama and South Florida. Bob spent almost 10 years coaching high school football and basketball.
